World Vision’s Noche Buena Campaign

Have you been blessed lately, that you can’t help but pass on the blessings to others you know who would need them more?

World Vision, in it’s seventh-year Christmas offering, re-launches the Noche Buena Gift campaign to give Filipinos the opportunity to share their blessings to poor families this meaningful season.  For only Php 1,000, a sponsored child receives a Noche Buena gift pack which consists of essential food items  and a special hand-picked present of your choice (optional) which he/she can enjoy with the family, or even the whole community in the coming Christmas Eve!

Last year, more than 35,000 children delightfully received their Noche Buena gifts. With your help, we can spread the love and cheers to more children in 14 identified poor communities this year.

In a few days to go and it’s already Christmas. Christmas is always been the happiest celebration in the Philippines. It is a time of giving and sharing. There is no greater joy to see children how excited they are during this season, enjoying the sumptuous noche buena, opening gifts and bonding with their family, relatives and friends. But have we ever asked ourselves? How about those who have less in life? Do they able to enjoy their Noche Buena together? Or maybe the right question is do they have food on their table during Christmas Eve?

Last November 10, 2012, my wife had the chance to visit one of the schools in Zambales not to observe classes as educator but to meet the sponsored children of World Vision’s Noche Buena Campaign. In one of the classrooms, children of different ages were already gathered. Just before we arrived the staff of the World Vision had prepared several art activities for the children. We were introduced to the children as their “ate” and “kuya”. Each of them had a counterpart child.

When i get back in town from NAGA City my wife is very much excited telling her experience with World Vision Community Visit in Zambales. My wife met some of my friends in blogging community and my wife had a great time being with the World Vision Staff, Bloggers and mostly to a girl she’s with during the community day event visit in zambales.

yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you have done a fantastic job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Safari. Superb Blog!
