Make Your Own Havaianas 2013: World Beyond Imagination

It’s that time of the year again when the vibrant spirit of the world’s favorite flip-flops brand, Havaianas, allows everyone to revel in the ultimate celebration of self-expression—Make Your Own Havaianas!

Much of the thrill that comes with the annual Make Your Own Havaianas is the way it lets everyone’s creativity run wild, while at the same time, seizing these concepts and embedding them in soles to last. For the fete of creativity, Havaianas further cements its stand as it dares all Havaianaticos to immerse themselves in a more vibrant experience in this year’s Make Your Own Havaianas.

Taking Collaboration a Notch Up

As a world-renowned brand distinguished for being an advocate of fun-fashion and self-expression, Havaianas has always been open to collaborations when it comes to its designs. The brand continues to coincide with the individual charm and personality of several noted icons such as Luke Stedman, Michael Bastian, Missoni, Dan Matutina and Hollywood celebrity moms Courteney Cox, Nina Garcia, Rebecca Romijn, and Tori Spelling. This year, Havaianas takes creativity and individuality to greater heights through You + Havaianas.

You+Havaianas is the brand’s first major crowdsourcing contest where everyone will be given the chance to submit a winning design, which will become a limited edition style for the 2014 Havaianas Collection. It was launched last May through a three-day event, with simultaneous executions in Laoag, Subic, Batangas, Naga, Cebu, Bacolod,Boracay, CDO and Davao.

This October, Havaianas will widen its reach for creativity and self-expression through the Make Your Own Havaianas in SM City Calamba. As a pre-event buzz, Havaianas toured different schools in Batangas and Laguna last September 23-October 11. Students from Lipa City Colleges, De La Salle Lipa, University of Batangas, Laguna State Polytechnic University, Lyceum Laguna, Laguna College of Business and Arts, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, San Pablo Colleges, and Philippine Women’s University were able to get to know more about the Make Your Own Havaianas event through the information booth and activities lined up to challenge and inspire their creativity.

On October 17, Havaianatics from the CALABARZON area will get to experience the freedom to create their own pair of Havaianas flip-flops at the MYOH event to be held in the All Flip-Flops store, SM City Calamba.

Me and my son jc got the chance to experience the MYOH or so called Make Your Own Havaianas sandals. One of the highlights to this MYOH is that you will have to use your creativity to make your own sandals, by means of choosing materials from step 1.
