All we want when we get back home is a smile from our love one’s..

Filipinos have this innate desire to please our loved ones and one common manifestation is the tradition of bringing "pasalubong" for family and friends. Childhood memories of "anak" waiting for "tatay" or "nanay" carrying that "balot o supot" in hand are etched in the minds of us "young once". The young ones now may be more familiar with the fast food lifestyle, but nostalgia aside, there is wisdom in having our little ones enjoy our authentic Filipino sweets, delicacies and "pasalubong" treats.

SITSIRYA Sari-Sari, which began in 2001, ensures that this tradition lives on by bringing to you the best pasalubong, the Islands have to offer.

Simply put,"We treat you with memories".

Vision

To be one of the leading sources of good quality Philipine-made sweets, delicacies and "pampasalubong" products, at reasonable prices.

Mission

1. Provide various select Philippine manufacturers direct distribution links to local and international markets.

2. Pass on to consumers the savings brought about by our short and direct product distribution system.

3. Let our customers enjoy the convenience of choosing from an assortment of products coming from different provinces. Literally, a one-stop-shop of delights!

4. Provide income opportunities to entities or wholesalers who are interested in distributing our quality products.

MOTO TOURISM COUNCIL JOINS SILLAG 2018 CELEBRATION

Early this month, Moto Tourism Council (MTC) joined in the celebration in La Union – Poro Point’s Sillag Festival 2018 by forming a unity ride that started in Manila and ended with a luncheon treat at the baywalk of Poro Point Freeport Zone. A total of 17 members participated in the unity ride from Manila showing the joy and safety fun of motorcycling trip plus the beauty of the various provinces that they have passed by.

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo Teo has approved the formation of the Moto Tourism Council (MTC) that will draft the Moto Tourism campaign plan aimed at boosting motorcycle travel in the country, and eventually generate additional revenues for the tourism sector. A thrust that Assistant Secretary Frederick Alegre himself supports, since he is a rider himself. According to him, the MTC is aimed to show not only the beauty of certain parts of the country but the entirely of it. From Luzon to Mindanao, using the Philippine Nautical Highway, motorcycle riders can now enjoy a trip to any point in the country.

The La Union unity trip aims to promote not only the beauty and safety of proper motorcycle riding but also the possibilities of the being developed Freeport Zone. Joining the unity ride were Manuel Jose, Christpher Pedrosa, Chris Franco, Alvin Aggregado, James Selenio, Raffy Escano, Bobbit Tongco, Miggy Tongco, JT Lansangan, Peter Lansangan and Peter Barrientos, to name a few.

Arriving during the second day of the Sillag Festival celebration, La Union was awaken by the number of riders passing by the main road of the province before ending at the Freeport Zone. The weather was so endearing that it was both sunny and windy at that time. Met by the Highway Patrol team and that of the PNP, the site of riders being accompanied was a sight to behold, elevating the curiosity of the people on what is there to see that day at the celebration ground. With bikes and riders, a riding spectacle was created for the people of La Union and that of Poro Point. Participants of the ride were then treated to an all Filipino luncheon spread prepared by the PPMC Poro Point Management Corporation headed by Dir Warly Guerra, Chairman of Investment Committee. Dir Guerra gave the guests a briefing of the investment opportunities in Poro Point Freeport Zone. He also seeked the help of the businessmen to help in promoting PPFZ as investment destination.

Not only did the MTC did the unity ride but they also started the Parade of Lights celebration and took the time to display their various bikes for people to see and take pictures with; something that bike riders, bike enthusiasts and fans took delight that day in the festival.

With this simple exhibition of motorcycling experience, riders can now travel and enjoy in their own pace the trip of doing a point-to-point tour of the country, promoting road and motorcycling safety and the scenic view of the place. No small thanks to the thrust of the Department of Tourism in looking into the various ways that people can truly explore the country.

THE LONGEST RUNNING COMEDY MUSICAL VARIETY SHOW IN THE PH IS BACK
U.P. SAMASKOM KICKS OFF LIVE AIDS 32 #trendingNOW

Coming off from the successful Live AIDS 31: HaLOLan, the U.P. SAMASKOM company members are back again for a brand new season of non-stop laughter!

Live AIDS (Ang Istoryang Dinebelop ng SAMASKOM) or Acts, Improvisations, Dances and Songs, is an annual musical-comedy series mounted by UP SAMASKOM. It is the longest running comedy show in the country. What started as a mere applicants’ batch project back in 1985 is now one of the most awaited events in the Diliman republic. Each year, Live AIDS has never failed to surpass the previous record number of fans who trooped to its staging venues on all performances.

For decades, Live AIDS has garnered fanatics and avid viewers who have steadfastly sought out the show, including known personalities such as Bianca Gonzales, Ricky Lee, Quark Henares, John Lapus, Rajo Laurel, Jigs Mayuga, Tim Yap and Vice Ganda. After all, it is the show which gave rise to the career of comedy stars Giselle Sanchez, Ate Glow, Michelle O’ Bombshell, Tuesday Vargas and KaladKaren.“Live AIDS made me the woman that I am today. As an artist and an entrepreneur, this show paved my way to achieve all my accomplishments to date,” lauded Tuesday Vargas – an alumnus of the organization and a veteran performer of the show.

As home to talented and diverse individuals from all walks of the university who have a passion for creativity and self-expression, Live AIDS has continuously lived on with its magic that fuels it: the collaboration between the members of UP SAMASKOM, student and alumni alike. This camaraderie and the trust that have formed within the “samahan” is what makes the magic of the show happen.

“This show bolsters one’s talent, skills, and self-confidence. It’s evident in our alumni members,” said another alumnus, Kaladkaren Davila.

Giving off a fresh take on socio-political issues and pop culture without sacrificing the classic Live AIDS formula, the 32nd installment of one of the most anticipated events in UP Diliman will be helmed by four young directors, incorporating a brand new treatment on stage production and presentation, utilizing the classic brand of comedy that is quintessentially LIVE AIDS.

With Live AIDS being a parody of our current experiences, it tackles the present, the new, the trending, and the viral, by fusing comedy with the hard-hitting realities of this twisted socio-political sphere in the country. The show gets inspiration from these daily phenomena and aims to provide a different take, by providing a night filled with fun, spectacle, and entertainment you will never forget!

One of the four young directors of this year’s installment of Live AIDS, Bill Barrinuevo, stated that, “there is pressure to outdo ourselves every year. It is terrifying but it is a welcome challenge we take on. UP SAMASKOM is very passionate in creating a show that speaks out and entertains at the same time.”

As a venue for UP SAMASKOM members to enhance their wit, creativity and leadership potentials, Live AIDS is a playground for members to get invaluable orientation in the different fields of media. As such, this installment, a commentary on the Philippine society and on the experiences and travails that the Filipinos face, that features trending topics and viral content, will transcend not only to its avid audience, but even to its first time viewers.

Promising to make audiences laugh like never before, LIVE AIDS 32: ANG ISTORYANG DINIBELOP NG SAMASKOM is an event not to be missed!

Live AIDS 32 is slated on April, 16, 20, 21, and 22, 2018. For more updates on UP SAMASKOM and Live AIDS 32, please follow us on Twitter and Instagram @UPSamaskom, and like us on Facebook at facebook.com/upsamaskom. Buy your tickets at ktx.abs-cbn.com.

Edwin D. Reyes – 2017 BMW Friend of the Marque

BMW (Bavarian Motor Works) founded in 1916 as an aircraft engine manufacturer from Munich, Germany grew to become a motorcycle and engine manufacturing firm in the 1920’s. By 1928, the company ultimately went into building automobiles and has become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium automobiles and motorcycles. It’s entry in the Philippine market in 1993 delighted brand aficionados and enthusiasts. Since then, BMW in the Philippines has become one of the most sought after premium automobile brand in the country.

The success of the BMW Marque, signaled BMW AG to recognize brand owners worldwide by creating an official BMW Clubs Community. The clubs are subdivided by continent and region (Europe, America, Africa, Australia and Asia Pacific). Each BMW club is independent of BMW. Locally, the BMW Car Club of the Philippines (BMWCCP) is the only official car club of BMW in the country recognized by the International Council of BMW Clubs. Established in 2001, BMWCCP is under the Asian umbrella of the BMW Clubs Community.

BMW AG recognizes individuals who feel an affinity and passion for their brand – enthusiasts who value BMW not merely as a manufacturer of high quality products but equally as a friend and partner.

Last December 2017 in Taipei, the German automaker awarded the prestigious “BMW Friend of the Marque” recognition to a Filipino – Edwin D. Reyes. This title and recognition is the first ever to be given to a BMW enthusiast in South East Asia.

Edwin served as the immediate past president of the BMW Car Club of the Philippines. During his five year term of office (2010-2015), he instituted program of activities that brought the BMW Marque closer to the hearts and minds of the Filipinos. Activities that not only catered to brand enthusiasts but programs that also involved Community Service Related projects. Partnering and giving support to the Philippine Red Cross, The Shepherd of the Hills Children’s Foundation and the World Wildlife Fund Philippines.

Edwin says that when we have the capacity and resources to do more for the improvement of others we should do all we can. We should always be a positive inspiration, a ray of light and a symbol of hope.

With numerous accolades under his belt including the prestigious 2016 BMW International Club of the Year Award given to his club (BMWCCP), the recognition and title is very much deserved for all his hard work and accomplishments. Another gentleman that we can be very proud to call a Filipino!

Ford Ranger visit Gawad Kalinga in Cavite last December 2017 with online media…

Last december 2017 ford philippines huling hirit gift giving at gawad kalinga in cavite was a successful event together with selected online media. These four Ford Ranger was driven by selected online media and lend for almost a week for review and social travel. More often I can say that it’s a comfort riding on and off the road.

One of the Ford Philippines event last december 2017 was to cheer up homeless kids or without parents that would take care of them, but this time Ford Philippines invited us to witness their simple heartfelt move in cheering up and bring smile to the kids.

Opening remarks with Ford Philippines AVP EJ Francisco, Ford Philippines Staff and Media thanking the kids for attending the simple gift giving event of ford philippines.

Me and my team mate assigned to distribute gift under the age of 10 years old, of course it’s a coed that is why the organizer put a two colors of ribbons – blue for the boys and pink for the girls. Each ranger filled with gifts for different age category, though the sun is shining so bright that I’m having difficulties to open wide my eyes I still manage to do selfie with my team.

Aerial shot, in which the organizer pati and her colleague put the gifts in place where we can distribute them neatly for the kids.

Finally these kids got their gifts, Have you ever feel how they feel for such a simple gift it means a lot to them. A gift that give meaning of joy and love, a simple gift that pour out their world of need.

Seeing them happy is not just a simple thing we all brought to them, Kahit sa sandaling oras sa panahon ng pagmamahal at pagbibigay ng mga simpleng laruan ay isang malaking bahagi na ng kanilang buhay. A simple way of giving something to these kids it brings joy, not only to them but also to the giver.

Ford Philippines gives you the passion of being the best of the best, with Ford Ranger that is Built For Tough on whatever terrain on and off the road, with or without flood you can still Go Further.

After the time of gift giving at gawad kalinga we still have time for selfie with happy face.

A very fulfilling experience with Ford Philippines and Ogilvy, thank you for inviting and lending me a Ford Ranger.

With that this is Engr. John Cueto – TechPhoto Blogger of TechUpdateAsia and LarawanAtKape signing out for the year 2017 and signing in to the year 2018 saying Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.
