Recent studies demonstrate that MFGM plays an important role in supporting cognitive development, immunity and gut health. Moreover, a clinical study1 suggests that MFGM supplementation in children’s milk can positively impact behavioral regulation—

EQ development, in parent speak—in young children.

“Indeed, this is our biggest breakthrough since we first introduced DHA into our products in the early 2000s. With MFGM, we are bringing pediatric nutrition to a whole new level,” said Chris Ritchie, General Manager of Mead Johnson Nutrition, Philippines.

“This allows us to help parents prepare their children, particularly in the aspect of IQ and EQ development, for the demands that the future may bring.”

With this innovation, Enfagrow A+ Four is now the first and only children’s milk that contains the breakthrough ingredient MFGM Pro. Parents can now rely even more on Enfagrow A+ Four as their partner in developing their children’s IQ and EQ, for the challenges that the future holds.

ABOUT US,

Yoshinoya was born in 1899 under the ingenuity of its founder, a Japanese, named Eikichi Matsuda. Our story begins at Nihonbashi, a humble fish market in Chuo-ku, Tokyqo, on the outskirts of Edo Castle where Mr. Matsuda created a delicious recipe of beef and rice known as Gyudon (beef bowl). Named for his birthplace of Yoshino-Cho, Osaka, Mr. Matsuda’s restaurant featured delicious, affordable and fast meals. It was an entirely new concept in Japanese culture, and both the hard-working fisherman and market visitors embraced it. Yoshinoya was an instant hit. In 1923, Japan was hit by the Great Kanto Earthquake and Yoshinoya had to move to Tsukiji with the rest of the fish market and throngs of hungry patrons continued to enjoy Yoshinoya’s original gyūdon, or Beef Bowl.

In 1946, Mizuho Matsuda, son of Eikichi Matsuda, turned the business into a 24-hour restaurant and rapidly gained wide spread popularity in Japan. In 1958, it became a corporate company operating on a chain store system.Yoshinoya boasts of more than 100 years of tradition. Yoshinoya has grown to be one of the most important brands in Japan and boasts of more than 1,000 outlets, making it one of the biggest fast-food chains in Japan. To date, there are more than 1200 outlets around the world, namely Japan, USA, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. Century Pacific Group under its retail arm, Yoshinoya Century Pacific, Inc., entered into Franchise Agreement with Yoshinoya International Co., Ltd in 2001 and started its first store operation in December 2001. June 30, 2017 – The UP Sunken Garden was filled up with nature lovers, music enthusiasts ,students, government and private sector representatives and concerned artists with one goal ! That is to unite and fire up this year’s celebration of the Philippine Environment Month.

The day started with various exhibits around the stage area . A wide variety of food stalls were likewise available to serve the crowd. At noontime heavy rains started to pour and threatened the event .But at exactly 3 pm, the heavens opened with the blue skies hovering over the hundreds of participants who were joining the symbolical human “leaf" formation to manifet this year’s global theme “Connecting People with Nature”. It was going to be a good day after all.

Dubbed “A FAIR WITH NATURE”, the event is presented by the Environmental Management Bureau of DENR, Office of QC Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, the University of the Philippines and is organized by Earthday Jam Foundation,Inc. This is their first collaboration .

“I am truly excited for our Foundation to be part of this unique undertaking. We are one in this relentless campaign that aims not only to educate people about the state of health of planet earth, but get everyone to do their fair share in the global fight to save this planet for our children’s future, the next generation” Lou Bonnevie, President of Earthday Jam Foundation answered when asked why she was involved with the event.

At 5 pm, program started with the actual human formation and inspiring messages from UP officials Chancellor Michael Tan and Vice Chancellor Nestor Castro with DENR Assistant Secretary Mitch Cuna and EMB-DENR and Chief of Environmental Education and Information Division Ellen Basug. The EMB Infographics awards followed suit with winners from all over the Philippines. After which celebrity bands and singers performed for a rolling night of live music, campaigning for the preservation of Mother Earth and its resources.

Opening performances came from UP’s homegrown roster of artists :UP StreetDance Club, UP Dance Company and UP Integrated PEP Squad. Thereafter , Bayang Barrios segued with her brand of world music using indigenous instruments such as agong and kubing integrated in her band. She capped her set with singing the environmental anthem ”Kapaligiran” with Lou Bonnevie . Lou Bonnevie proved her mettle as a veteran pop-rock icon spelling classic rocks tunes like “Come Together’ and “What A Wonderful World” and creatively twisting it to make it her own. She finished her set with a rousing original self penned song entitled “Ano Ang Nangyayari?” that got the young crowd thinking.

Alternative bands Autotelic, Mayonnaise and Chicosci got the audience to their feet, unmindful of the muddy grounds. Meanwhile, Ebe Dancel, a UP alumni, serenaded the crowd with his popular compositions. One of the highlights of the program was when hosts Midi Gentica, Pam Nieva and Roxy Montealegre introduced the much awaited VIDEO of the actual human leaf formation shown at the huge video walls .

Early Sunday Mornings Become Brighter with Wazzup Pilipinas Radio

There is truth to the old adage that the early bird catches the worm since several studies have also correlated waking up early with success. It seems success could easily be attained when an individual maintains the habit of beating the sunrise to eagerly start his daily adventures feeling refreshed, highly energized and with renewed enthusiasm.

Most successful people are those who get a head start on the day by knocking out tasks before the rest of the world, especially their peers and competitors, has rolled out of bed. They are the go-getters who want to work longer hours but still have enough time for their personal lives too. The biographies of history’s greatest men would reveal that most of them were early risers. "They were men of action who had things to do and people to see. They couldn’t dilly dally under the covers."

Early risers can be more productive, successful, and calm. They are happier, healthier and more productive than night owls. Normally, those who are punctual and are never late for work, events, meetings, and other gatherings and activities, often get the biggest opportunity because not only do they gain the admiration of their superiors and peers for their punctuality, they often send across the message that they are highly reliable, resourceful and organized.

Since traffic congestion has become a normal scenario nowadays, giving it as an excuse for being late no longer counts as an acceptable reason. Early risers have a habit of making their way to their destinations even before they get caught in a jam. They avoid such hassles because they plan ahead so that even before all the rest of the PUVs and private cars congest the streets of Metro Manila, they’ve already managed to mark the most convenient routes to reach their target destinations.

Now, there are more reasons to wake up early even on Sunday mornings. Wazzup Pilipinas Radio has been regularly on air on a weekly basis every Sunday at 6 to 7 am, and has proudly topped all the rest of the early morning radio shows during that time. The radio show has been airing live on DZRJ 810 AM and livestreaming on 8Trimedia Network’s social media pages via YouTube: http://bit.ly/2sDn0dU and via Facebook Live: http://bit.ly/2sDTe8L

Hosted by the Pambansang Blogger Ross Del Rosario, with co-hosts Master Pogi David D’Angelo, Millennial Momshie Sarah Muyco, and Ate ng Bayan Ayla De Joya, the radio show promises to further brighten up the Sunday mornings of early risers with discussions on pop culture, latest viral issues, event updates and trends, inspirational stories and advocacy, and a lot more topics featuring special early-rising guests.

Since the radio show has an online presence, followers of the multi-awarded blog could now also listen and watch the radio version of Wazzup Pilipinas online. The livestream of the radio show is also shared at Wazzup Pilipinas Facebook fan page at http://www.Facebook.com/wazzuppilipinas and the blog site at http://www.wazzuppilipinas.com. Wazzup Pilipinas is a top emerging community blog site that has formed numerous collaborations with many brands and organizations as media partner, brand ambassador and social media influencer. It has been featured in many TV and radio shows, newspapers and magazines, and has received several awards and recognition from different award-giving bodies. The Wazzup Pilipinas radio show is a proud achievement highlighted as one of its many efforts to reach more people in the Philippines and around the world.

Previous topics discussed on the Wazzup Pilipinas radio show were about Philippine anime enthusiasts and cosplayers, virtual assistance (VAPreneur), Filipino wrestlers (Manila Wrestling Federation), Independence Day special, e-Sports (Emperor e-Sports), helping out for Marawi incident victims (First Kick for Peace Foundation), K-Pop Fandom, Hataw Padyak biking group, Training using Ventriloquism with Puppets and Magic, Spoken Word, and soon on our next episode, Team Voltes V!

With every topic, the Wazzup Pilipinas Radio team instills thoughts and opinions to further engage, inspire and motivate people to become more successful in life. It is truly your early morning mental stimulation to enhance and boost your passion and creativity.

Nationwide Alay PARA Atleta Program launched at First Philippine Para Sports Summit

Quezon City, Philippines – Filipino para-athletes are raring to compete for the country in the coming 9th ASEAN Para Games in Malaysia this September 2017 and looking forward with gusto to the Asian Para Games in Indonesia in 2018, the 10th ASEAN Para Games in Manila and the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2020.

The Philippine Paralympic Committee (PPC) and the Philippine Sports Association for the Differently Abled (PHILSPADA) held yesterday (June 9) the first ever Philippine Para Sports Summit at Microtel, Technohub in Diliman, Quezon City. With the theme “Transcending Barriers Through Sports”, the summit underscored PPC-PHILSPADA’s mission to develop an inclusive society that uses para sports as a tool to change the lives of Filipinos with disabilities.

Launched at the event was the Alay PARA Atleta program, a nationwide campaign designed to make the general public genuine stakeholders of the Paralympic Movement. Contributions made through mobile phone access will boost funding for para-athletes and teams to achieve sporting excellence that will excite and inspire the world.

The Summit discussed the Paralympic Movement, the Paralympics Classification System, medical sports science and anti-doping, the achievements and plight of Filipino para-athletes, para-athletes’ actual experiences in foreign competition and PPC-PHILSPADA’s plans and programs for the next three years. Michael I. Barredo, President of PPC-PHILSPADA made a call to action at the end of the one-day summit for both government and private sectors to join the Paralympic Movement.

“These special athletes compete doubly hard, against all odds, through hardships, difficulties and physical handicaps to give glory to the country just like athletes without disabilities. They desire nothing more but to be given an equal chance to prove their worth and serve the country in their special way,” Barredo said.

PPC-PHILSPADA aims to rejuvenate paralympic sports in the country and establish offices in the regions to strengthen the organization and expand the athletes’ pool nationwide. The long-term goal, Barredo said, is to enlarge the scope of Philippine Paralympic sports to include para golf, para hockey, para chess and others.

Among the speakers at the Summit were champion powerlifter, Adeline Ancheta, Bronze Medalist at the Sydney Paralympic Games 2000; Josephine Medina, table tennis Bronze Medalist at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016, Ernie Gawilan, Davao’s para-athlete swimming sensation and consistent Gold Medalist in ASEAN Para Games; Joel Deriada, Athletics coach and Vernon Perea, Wheelchair Basketball coach.

Key speakers at the Summit were Philippine Olympic Committee president Peping Cojuangco, Commissioner Arnold Agustin of the Philippine Sports Commission, Olympian Gerardo “Ral” Rosario, physical medicine and rehab expert Dr. Raul Cembrano, noted sports medicine expert, Dr. Raul Canlas and Michael Barredo.

A moving Dance Sport exhibition by Filipino para-athletes Julius Jun Obero and Rhea Marquez, World Champions in the Paralympic Dance Sport Competition in Rome 2015, opened the eyes of participants, media and guests to the power and beauty of this sport as performed by para-athletes.

PPC, the national Paralympic Committee of the Philippines and PHILSPADA are the organizations that spearhead activities and take care of operational requirements of elite athletes with disabilities (orthopedic disability, cerebral palsy, visual impairment and mental disabilities).
